8 months
Lillian
You are 8 months already! Your Daddy and I were just reminiscing about how little you were the other night. I was filling out your baby book with all the new things you can do and we were looking at your tiny footprints from when you were born. You have come a long way and you are so observant! When we dress you, you know to straighten your arms out so that they will go into your sleeves. Also when we change your diaper, you lift your legs up as soon as we unfasten the diaper. You are such a good helper!
You talk all the time! We even think you say "Hi" all the time. When anyone sees you or first meets you they always approach you with a "Hi" or a "Hi there" so we think you have picked that up. We made it through your first sickness! Your Mommy didn't even freak out! You had an ear infection and possibly the flu. You were such a trooper. Mommy was sick with you and we both still have a mean cough but we are lots better.
Sitting up is so natural to you now. You love to play in the floor and bang toys together. When you get excited you bounce up and down and clap your hands. You've gotten good at clapping too. Daddy gave you some Gerber Puffs and with some help you picked them up and ate them! They are your first finger foods. You of course like the sweet potato ones better than the banana! You haven't started crawling yet but it is coming.
Your favorite toys right now are balls, teething beads, cloth books, a certain bath toy and a snail that sings the ABC song. You are already so independent. You don't like when someone takes your hand and tries to get you to play with a toy. You just snatch your hand away and give the look. You are so expressive with your eyebrows. I love it! I think you will give us a run for our money with those looks you give. Mommy and Daddy love you so much and we love helping you figure out the world around you. Here's to another month of snuggling, love, giggles, squeaking, and adventure!
