22 months

You are 22 months Today! It is 2012 and the reason why we get to celebrate your 22 months is because it is Leap year. Mommy is thinking that when you get up from your nap we should learn how to "leap" like a frog!

You have been having nightmares and waking up scared, so Mommy (more recently) sleeps in the floor next to your crib while holding your hand until you fall back asleep, or until Mommy's arm goes numb. It is happening more and more these days and it's a little heart breaking. You are probably wondering why we don't get you out and rock you, well you don't really like that. If we take you out of your crib, you won't go back in with out screaming and you don't sleep anywhere else BUT your crib. Not on the couch, not in our arms, and not in our bed! It's a good thing though.

*Confession: Mommy sometimes wishes you would sleep with her. So she can cuddle you and smell your sweet smell but then Mommy is being selfish. You love on Mommy all day and that is awesome!


Polite should be your middle name! You use "tank you, scuse me, pweese, and bess you" all the time with only a little prompting. Mommy is loving it! It was one of Mommy's goals to make sure manners where instilled as early as she could get them to stick and here we are!

Potty training is still a ways a way. You still sleep in a crib and the potty is still something to stand on. Mommy is thinking 27 months we will start really trying. Mommy is in no rush to make you grow up faster than you want!!

Picky is the name of the game! The food you like to eat are, spaghetti, ravioli, peanut butter and jelly sandwich, cheese slices, and ALL fruit! Everything else is a battle. If you eat something that you don't like then you won't eat anything else, even if I make you something you do like. If you touch it with your fingers and you don't like the consistency or the way it feels.... forget about it! We are hoping you grow out of this phase soon. Please!

Singing, dancing, singing, singing, singing and wait.... more singing!






Favorite shows you like are, Yo Gabba Gabba and Peppa Pig. Blocks are ranking up there with coloring now. I think you have music running through your veins. We can ask you to dance at any time, music or no music and you will boogie down. You like for Daddy to play your tambourine while you dance to the beats he makes.


We sure do have LOTS of fun but not everything is sunshine around here. Nope is probably the most popular word you have at the moment. We have started using timeouts and Mommy thinks they are starting to work. Well, Mommy hopes so because the jumping on the couch needs to end because there will soon be no more monkey's jumping on the be....couch!





You are a lover and it is heart melting. At any time you will come up and give a "big big hug" and kiss. Bernice and Pru Pru have become "BESSSS FRIENDS" and you make them hug a lot too.
